Nimura Hill Mine Operations

M&J Investments invest in a full complement of mining equipment for open cast mining operations at the Nimura Hill concession in 2010. A Development of a personal camp and equipment service workshop were later completed there too.
A qualified professional staff of 150 employees from the DRC, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana & South Africa were then recruited for its operations.

DMS Plant Installation @ Nimura Hill Mine 

A DMS mineral processing plant was acquired from South Africa for beneficiation of the Copper and Cobalt ores with a 100 tonnes per hour feeding rate. The mined ore from nimura was generally averaging 2% mineral content for both Copper and Cobalt which was upgraded to about 15 and 20% by the DMS plant. 
Metal ores mined and processed by M&J from the Nimura mine were trade on long term off-take contract with the Global Trafigura group. Some quantities of ore were also supplied to Chinese processors that had built their plants in close proximity. Tootal Capital invested in Nimura Hill mine rose to about US%15 Million.  

Operational problems and heavy Capital losses were encountered at Nimura Hill Mine mostly resulting from actions from shifty Local agents and constantly changing Government investment codes and regulations for mining companies operating in the DR Congo at the time.
The partners resolved to relocate the mining equipment and assets that could be salvaged from Nimura Mine operation to Zambia where a new mining concession was secured.  

The Directors of M & J Investments already had experience and successful business interests in Zambia with Mr Kalenga himself being a Zambian National. 
Relocation of mining equipment from DR Congo to Zambia was completed in 2011 and Grovenor Resources Zambia Limited was incorporated to carry on with mining investments in a much more familiar and stable operating environment for the Directors.
